About Oregon Motorcoach Center

Our story begins in 1973, when a few enthusiasts began manufacturing RV’s in Oregon’s Willamette Valley Region. Amongst those enthusiasts was Bob Lee who became a patriarch to the RV industry, as these small family businesses grew, the region became the leading manufacturer of the highline motorcoach industry.

Oregon Motorcoach Center was established in 2008 by Bob and Terry Lee, now owned and operated by Matt and Elaina Carr. Since taking over in 2016 Oregon Motorcoach Center has become a Certified Service Center in the Pacific Northwest, which has served the Eugene and surrounding areas for a decade. Specializing in RV restoration, renovation and Custom Van Conversions.

Matt Carr, Owner

Matt Carr, Owner of Oregon Motorcoach Center, began his career in 1987 working for Country Coach as a cabinet maker. He quickly progressed through the various aspects of this department, becoming an expert in the field.

In 1993, Matt enhanced his career at County Coach as the plant manager of the cabinet division. His role changed from hands on to concentrating on scheduling and quality control, floor plan design, and employee management.

After 23 years at Country Coach, Matt left to pursue his own interests. He launched Carr Industries in 2004 with his wife Elaina, specializing in hand crafted cabinetry, countertops, window treatments and other services for the RV industry and residential/commercial spaces.

In 2015, Oregon Motorcoach Center welcomed Matt Carr as the General Manager. In addition to his new position, Matt & Elaina Carr finalized the purchase of Oregon Motorcoach center in 2016.

Elaina Carr, Owner

Elaina Carr, Owner of Oregon Motorcoach Center, established her career in the RV industry in 1999 working for Country Coach as an office assistant III. Processing repair orders and managing the quality assurance department.

Elaina came to Oregon Motorcoach Center in 2009 as an Administrative Assistant, bringing her extensive experience and customer service. She has watched the company grow rapidly throughout the years. Elaina and Matt Carr became the proud owners of OMC in 2016.

Elaina enjoys camping, hiking, and just simply being in the outdoors. She found her passion and love for horses and began showing them in competitions.

In Remembrance of Bob Lee

Bob was born into a logging and dairy farming family in Klamath Falls, OR. He joined the U.S. Navy after high school and trained as a jet mechanic. He left the service in 1961, married his wife Terry, and went to work near Los Angeles, CA for North American Rockwell, where he was an equipment buyer with the Apollo Space Program. In 1968, he decided to return to his Oregon roots and moved his young family to Junction City, OR. With two friends, he became one of the original founders of Monaco Corporation (established at the time as Caribou Manufacturing.) He was with Monaco until 1973, when he and his partners decided to go separate ways. He founded Country Camper in 1973, working as a service manager at a Ford dealership during the day and building truck canopies in a garage at night. Country Camper grew and was incorporated in 1974. Today, Country Coach, as it’s now known, was a leading manufacturer of highline Class A diesel pushers. In 2008, he decided that the motorcoach industry lacked a service and renovation center that was dedicated to excellence, integrity, honesty, and quality. In a return to the roots of the RV industry—and with a desire to reinvigorate the family atmosphere in the motorcoach lifestyle—he founded Oregon Motorcoach Center.

Bob was a prominent voice within the recreation industry, having held various positions within the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA) and the Family Motor Coach Association (FMCA), as well as serving as a board member of the Oregon Reinforced Plastics Association. In August of 2000, Bob Lee was inducted into the RV/MH Heritage Foundation Hall of Fame. He was honored by the Junction City-Harrisburg Chamber of Commerce with a Distinguished Service Award in 2006 for his community involvement. He has served on the board of the Junction City-Harrisburg Chamber of Commerce and on the city council for Junction City.

In loving memory of Brenda Logan

Today OMC lost a beloved family member. We are deeply saddened by the sudden death of our friend and colleague, whose strength and kindness will forever inspire us all. Brenda was our rock, cheerleader, our team captain who held a very special place in our hearts. OMC will not be the same without her, and each of us will miss her smiling face, which lifted us up every day.
